Fox v. Dems

Steve Benen at TPM has the rundown on how Fox, and now Timmeh, are calling the Dem candidates pussies (okay, they didn't use that word, but that's the drift), for not going on Fox to face their "tough" TV guys:
If you can't handle TV questions, how are you going to stand up to Iran, and North Korea, and the rest of the world?
I suggest that the Democratic Presidential Candidates respond to this ridiculous crap with one voice and say:
We're not afraid of Fox. That's why we're telling them to go Cheney themselves.
Digby has some thoughts, too.

The Law and Order Party?

A bi-partisan group of former intelligence officers remind the Republicans about that little rule of law thing.

They also note:

Fred Thompson is a lying scumbucket.
The factual errors in Mr. Thompson's statement are almost as egregious as his partisan view that perjury and obstruction of justice are not serious crimes.
Rudy flip flopped on the seriousness of perjury.
During the last Republican debate Rudy Giuliani said that: he'd have to wait for the appeals process to play out to see if Libby met the criteria for a pardon. However, the former federal prosecutor said he believes the sentence imposed on Libby was "way out of line."

Mr. Giuliani had a different standard for charges of perjury and obstruction of justice on September 11, 1987.
Romney thinks that in bringing high-ranking Republican who breaks the law to justice, Patrick Fitzgerald was:
. . . abusing proscutorial discretion.
Go read the whole thing.

Hard to say if we should laugh or cry that these sorry excuses for Americans men are the best the Republicans can throw up in 2008. Just another reminder that IOKIYAR.

Comment of the Day

Over at TPM Election Central:
Did Drudge make money on that day (9-11-06)? Did Drudge contribute any of the money he made that day to the families of 9/11 victims? Did (Drudge) get a botox injection that day? Did Drudge have an affair with Ken Mehlman when he was making money on 9/11?
Background here. More here. The slime is getting so deep today, I'm going to put on my boots.

A Picture's Worth a Thousand

Good to see a little reality in the media.

By the way, I think it's great that Kosacks can include photos in the comments section.

Bush's Albanian Lovefest

Was it just him they loved, or did they want his wrist watch?

Those crafty Albanians know an easy mark when they see one.

h/t to the crafty DL.
